Message from the Chair

It is with great pleasure to announce the opening of the fourth annual inter-collegiate
Brock University Accounting Conference (BUAC).

BUAC will serve as a platform for students from across Canada to network and expand their
professional connections. Our goal is to educate and inspire students on the importance of the
accounting profession through lectures, motivational speakers, and a competition.

The past three years that Brock has hosted this conference have been such a success,
and each year the conference continues to grow. We anticipate this year to be our best
conference yet and we want you to experience all the fun and hard work of BUAC 2012!

The 2012 executive team, along with our wonderful case writers are very excited to
announce the theme of this year’s conference as “Life Cycles of Accounting:
What comes around, goes around”. As you move forward in your accounting careers
there will be many stages of development as it relates to business concepts and your
